EAE KNX Switches in Singapore: Rosa glass and metal panels, thermostats and touch screens
EAE Technology is a KNX manufacturer from Istanbul whose Rosa, Oria and Mona switches, glass thermostats and Miola touch panels give you a wired, open-standard smart home at a value price. In Singapore, The Smart Home is an authorised EAE dealer and installer that designs, supplies and installs EAE with its own in-house team, and you can try the switches at our Henderson Road showroom.
Who EAE suits
EAE sits in our Value range, alongside Akubela. It is a good fit if you:
- are renovating a condo or landed home and want a proper wired KNX system rather than battery or Wi-Fi gadgets;
- like a clean, frameless glass or brushed-metal switch, but want to keep the budget for more rooms;
- want lights, curtains and air-con on the same keypad, with a touch screen in the living room;
- want a system any qualified KNX installer can maintain in future, not one locked to a single app.
If you want designer finishes on every wall, compare EAE with our Signature range, Moorgen, Lutron and Vimar, at the showroom.
Why KNX, and what EAE adds
KNX is an open, international standard for home and building control. Switches, sensors and actuators from hundreds of brands share one bus cable, so a KNX home is not tied to one manufacturer. It is wired in during renovation, which is why it is so reliable: no Wi-Fi drop-outs and no batteries to change in the walls.
EAE builds only for these open standards. Its product groups are KNX, KNX Secure (devices that encrypt their communication) and DALI-2 lighting control. The wider EAE Group was founded in Istanbul in 1973, makes its products in-house in Turkey to ISO 9001, and exports to around 100 countries, according to Professional Electrician. EAE’s own site lists its CE, KNX and ISO certificates.
EAE also makes KNX systems for hotels, which is where its do-not-disturb displays and room control units come from. For a home, that means hardware designed to run day and night.
The EAE range at The Smart Home
We currently list 13 EAE products. The main families are:
Rosa switches
The family most clients ask about. Rosa Crystal is a frameless 85 mm tempered-glass touch switch with 1 to 6 zones, in black, white or a RAL colour of your choice. Rosa Metal uses brushed aluminium in Pearl White, Natural, Gold, Bronze or Anthracite, with night-guide LEDs so you can find it in the dark. Rosa Solid comes in a solid finish with an optional temperature sensor, and Rosa Pictus lets you print your own design on the front. EAE says Rosa thermostats combine a switch and a thermostat in one plate.
Oria and Mona
Oria is a compact, clean-lined range of KNX switches and thermostats. Mona is a monoblock family of switches, thermostats and a motion sensor.
Air-con control
The Mona Touch Thermostat has a frameless glass front, RGB-lit buttons and a built-in presence sensor, and controls both VRF and split-unit air-con, which suits Singapore homes well.
Touch screens
The Miola 10″ Touch Panel runs lighting, blinds, air-con and scenes, and adds a door intercom and a matching mobile app. The smaller TD4 4″ panel wakes as you approach, handles four climate zones and tunable-white lighting, and shows air-quality readings.
Behind the walls
KNX actuators and power supplies sit in your DB box and do the actual switching and dimming. KNX Secure products add encryption, DALI-2 lighting control gives precise dimming of compatible fittings, and the DND/MUR display suits serviced homes and guest suites.
EAE’s Rosa family also includes British-standard sockets to match the switches.

What affects the cost of an EAE KNX home
We quote every EAE project per home, because the price depends on:
- Number of rooms and switch points. A living and dining area is very different from a whole landed home.
- Which families you choose. Rosa Crystal, Rosa Metal, Oria and Mona differ in finish and price.
- What you control. Lights only, or lights plus curtains, air-con and DALI-2 dimming.
- Touch screens. Whether you add a Miola or TD4 panel, and how many.
- Wiring and DB space. KNX needs a bus cable and room in the DB box for actuators, so timing it with your renovation keeps costs down.
- Programming. Our in-house team sets up scenes, schedules and the app.
We don’t publish a fixed price, because every home is different. The quickest way to a real number is to WhatsApp us your floor plan.
EAE FAQ
Where is EAE from?
EAE Technology is based in Istanbul, Turkey, and makes its KNX and DALI-2 products in-house there.
Is EAE a proper KNX brand?
Yes. EAE builds to the KNX standard and also makes KNX Secure devices, so it works alongside other KNX products and any qualified KNX installer can maintain it.
Can I install EAE in an HDB flat?
KNX needs new bus wiring and space in the DB box, so it suits a full renovation best.
Can EAE control my air-con?
Yes. The Mona Touch Thermostat controls both VRF and split-unit air-con over KNX.
Can I control EAE from my phone?
Yes. The Miola touch panel comes with a matching mobile app.
Are you an authorised EAE dealer?
Yes. The Smart Home is an authorised EAE dealer and installer in Singapore, with its own in-house installation team, so the people who design your KNX system also install and programme it.
How is EAE different from Moorgen?
Both are KNX. EAE is our value choice, with clean glass and metal switches. Moorgen is in our Signature range, with designer collections and finishes.
